Harborough Town earned all three points after their first half goal saw them past Hinckley LRFC in a tight contest.
The Bees looked most likely to score in the first half, with Tendai Daire hitting the post with a header, before Dominik Wysocki’s shot was parried into the path of Daire, who poked the ball over the line to get the hosts in front.
Hinckley came out stronger in the second half as they looked for an equaliser, but struggled to create clear goalscoring chances, with Harborough’s Sam Preston starring in defence.
Elliott Taylor made a crucial stop in additional time to deny Liam Read a late leveller as Harborough held on to the win.
