Amar, Joel And Rhys Commit To The Bees Next Season

We are again delighted to agree terms with a trio of #UpTheBees players, and whilst picking up bad injuries during the season are going to be a key part of our squad at Step 3 and we cannot wait to get them back on the pitch!

Flying left-sided player Amar joined in late Autumn and was ever-present in that run scoring 4 goals before his season ended prematurely in late February. Joel returned to the Bees in the middle of the season and supporters could not get enough of his quick feet around the edge of the box, usually resulting in the ball hitting the back of the net scoring 7 goals in just 12 appearances. Rhys was sadly injured very early in the season but showed the season prior what he is about as a player whether at the back or in midfield, and having him around the building during this last season shows the affection he is held in by the club.

Manager Mitch Austin commented; “what can I say about these lads. They have been unbelievable, even through their own disappointments. They all missed a lot of football last season due to bad injuries, but as a club and management team we know their qualities. Amar and Joel were absolutely flying until they picked up their injuries after Christmas and Rhys had a knee operation that kept him out for the season. This one seems like 3 brand new signings without having to go and find them!”.

With a personal message to the players, Mitch adds “I just want to say to these three players, that your professionalism, attitude and desire to get back playing has been amazing and you deserve the backing of me and my team, 100%.”
