Win, Lose and Draw For The Senior Teams This Weekend

Share

The spoils were shared as Harborough Town’s second half penalty earnt them a draw against St Neots Town in a game that saw them unveil their new stand.

The Bees were close to scoring early on through Dan Forbes, who was denied by Jamie Greygoose’s strong hand, before St Neots failed to put themselves ahead through the stretching Alex Solomon at the back post.

The away side did get their goal soon after through Trey Charles, but it failed to spark the game to life.

Harborough, looking for that spark, called upon Rhys Kelly and James Ireland at half time, with the former having three opportunities to level up the scores, the closest being a swivel-shot that rolled agonisingly wide of the post.

But it was Ireland, who looked threatening since his introduction, who got the goal via the penalty spot after the onrushing Nathanael Ansu was brought down in the box.

The game became stretched as the minutes ticked away, but neither side could deal the decisive blow as it ended all square.

Harborough Town 1
Ireland (P)(80)
St Neots Town 1
Charles (22)
